Saddle bar stool is a bar stool that is inspired from horse riding and how a rider and the horse interact and complement to each other movement. Its also resemble the vintage olden days where cowboys rides horse travelling around and visit bar for a quick drink. With a simple sleek form, eliminating all complex detail. What are left are those elegant curvatures that bring out its masculine outline, completing its minimalistic looks.
Sitting on Saddle barstool is like getting up a horse ride, one’s have to ‘ride’ the stool and supporting themselves by having their thigh cramped onto the side surface of the stool. Like how a rider maintains their thigh balanced when they are ridding on the horseback. The back portions of the seat area are curved up to a certain angle. The middle seat area is bended in to guide the user backside and back to proper posture.
Material and method
The Saddle Bar-stool is made out of beech plywood using wooding bending method, and reinforces with 5mm opaque white fibreglass at the back, follow by a thin layer of fibreglass surface lamination throughout the stool.
